Hi, I'm Danielle — founder of Sticky Note Labs.
I've seen a blog post motivate a union member to call his member of Congress. An email drive an Olympic fan to donate $30 to support the team. A digital campaign move someone to change their vote. A brainstorm session unlock a year's worth of ideas in an afternoon.
That's the work I'm in. Helping organizations figure out what they're trying to say, and then actually say it — in the room and online.
I started my career running email programs and writing copy for Obama for America. Then spent four years at Blue State Digital as a Creative Director and Communications Strategist — raising over $10 million for nonprofits and cultural institutions, running digital campaigns for Team USA, the Rockefeller Foundation, and the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, among others. Then Hillary for America, where I directed content for a campaign blog with 15 million unique visitors.
In 2022, I founded Sticky Note Labs. The two sides of the business — facilitation and digital strategy — have always been connected by the same core belief: the hardest and most important work is getting clear on what you're actually trying to do. Everything else follows from that.
Today, I work with nonprofits, advocacy organizations, and mission-driven consultancies, helping them build digital programs that reach the right people and drive action, and facilitating the sessions that help teams align and move forward. My clients have included the Gates Foundation, Everybody Votes Campaign, Stand Up America, the National Education Association, Oceana, Wide Eye Creative, Good Influence, and many others.
“It was a great balance of getting work done and having time to hang with the team while getting to know everyone better. It was one of the best work retreats I've ever had the pleasure of being a part of!"

“The custom training Danielle put together helped our team find ways to collaborate and get creative, in person and virtually. The tools from the workshop were put to use the next day. She is a world-class facilitator and a joy to work with!

Danielle employs an impressive array of skills at every stage of the creative, delivery, and analysis process — she possesses that rare ability to make great contributions across a variety of disciplines, both online and offline: copywriting, design, UX, strategy, and so on.

My Approach to Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging
As a facilitator, I strive to create inclusive spaces that allow for creativity, vulnerability, and collaboration.
It is critical to center equity and belonging in how I bring people together. It's essential to the work of progressive organizations and nonprofits. I am committed to making intentional space for marginalized voices. I know I might sometimes stumble, as we all do, but I always try to stay open to feedback and question my own assumptions and my limited perspective as I do this work.
